Additional activities to the naval transport activities

Maintenance of the naval transport infrastructure;

Allowing the nondiscriminatory use of the naval transport infrastructure according to the legal framework;

Land and water signs for navigation;

Dredging activities to ensure the proper river depths;

Assisting the vessels while transshipping hazardous goods;

Collecting bilge water and used water from the vessels;

Garbage collection from the vessels;

Providing electricity, fresh water and thermal energy;

Ship salvage operations.

Monitoring the port freight traffic, compiling the information about the quantities of operated goods, the port in which the goods are loaded/unloaded, the number of operated ships and the procedures used, annual publishing of these data;

Monitoring the vessels handling hazardous goods;

Monitoring the port workers and issuing port work permits;

Third parties can use the naval transport infrastructure;

Encouraging studies and projects connected to the upgrade of the naval transport infrastructure;

Create tariffs for all facilities and services that it provides;

Carry out services with its own equipment: cars, vessels, special installations;

Create the schedules for maintenance, repair works and modernization of the State and the company's public property goods;

Approving the construction projects in the neighborhood of the port area that might affect port activities;

Putting together or approving the documents for building new port infrastructure;

Promoting the maritime and fluvial ports in and out of the country, by publicity campaigns, market studies, printing and editing leaflets and magazines;

Connecting the MDPA ports to national and international River Information Systems;

Coordinating the port traffic during busy periods; establishing loading/unloading schedules with the port operators;

Issuing notifications for the authorization of economic agents;

The company is delegated to comply with the international agreements signed by the Romanian Government in relation to port-related activities.
